Important Dates:
- Week of October 15, 2017-Registration opens see State website
- December 4, 2017 - Chaperone Applications Due
- December 17, 2017 Complete on-line registration for Washington Focus and pay non-refundable deposits: $1200.00 for each Washington Focus delegate.
- March 2, 2018 – 2nd installment due to State 4-H Office-check must come from county office.
- April 30, 2018 - final installment due
- Citizenship WA Focus only ~ June 16-23, 2018
- Citizenship WA Focus extended trip ~ June 16-26, 2018
- Leadership Washington Focus (grades 7-9) ~ July 15-July 20, 2018

Description:

Washington Focus provides opportunities for 4-H youth and adults to acquire and practice citizenship and leadership skills that can be applied to local situations and community projects.

Using the nation’s capitol as a resource and classroom, 4-H members gain a greater understanding and appreciation of American history and our system of government. During this program, participants learn how to use new leadership techniques, building upon the dynamics of peer-group influence.
Criteria:

Youth: 15 years of age or older by the date of travel
Kings County 4-H Leaders Council Scholarship:
To be considered to receive financial assistance from the Kings Country 4-H Council, members must have completed at least two years in 4-H at the time of application, be enrolled in the 4-H Citizenship Project and submit their 4-H Record Book.
