Susan Lafferty 

Susan L.
Susan has been working with CalFresh Healthy Living, UCCE since 2009, creating a positive impact on community health outcomes with her innovative and engaging lessons. Through her years spent in Kings County she has provided an extensive amount of support towards improving the health and wellness of the community through gardens, cooking, physical activity, and nutrition education.

 

Eldon Bueno 

Eldon B.
Eldon has been working with CalFresh Healthy Living, UCCE since 2018 and is committed to advocating health and wellness across Kings County. He has a strong passion for working with youth and wants to help in fostering a better community through health education. 

 

What Is Youth Nutrition Education?

The Cal Fresh Healthy Living, UCCE in Kings County is a federally funded nutrition education program that serves families and their youth in schools that have more than 50% of their students participating in the Free/Reduced Meals program. We provide no-cost evidence-based curricula, support, and resources to all schools and grade levels that qualify.
